Christal Stevens is an educator and the mother of two amazing children. Christal is a 2009 graduate of Claflin University in Orangeburg, SC where she received her Bachelor's in Elementary Education. She earned her Masters in Educational Leadership from Concordia University in Portland, Oregon. Throughout her many years in education and her own life experiences, she has learned about the
social injustice challenges that children face or may encounter on a daily basis both at school and home. Thus, is the reason she decided to combine her love of literacy and writing to create a fictional, yet realistic character that tackles social challenges in a creative way.When Christal is not writing, she enjoys spending time with her children creating memories through family travel, playing board games and bonding. She loves socializing with family and friends, but even more, she enjoys quiet time to meditate and reflect.
